JEFFERSON CITY MISSOURI.:
The Capital building of Jefferson City Missouri overlooks the Missouri River was built between 1912-1917.The bronze front door of the building 13 x 18 feet wide and  is reputed to be the largest since the Roman era and the stairway is 30 feet wide , the widest in the world.  Free tours are conducted of the building seven days a week,This is definately a unique and beautiful capital building to see for visitors to Jefferson City.

What a magnificent view of this lovely old Railway Station in Washington DC..I must say that this lovely Station has some great memories for me arriving and leaving here on Various Amtrak trains.. This card shows the recently renovated main Waiting Room of Union Station and is truly impressive with its 96 foot high coffered ceiling gilded with eight pounds of Gold leaf...beautiful .I must return soon again and look at this beautiful restoration.Thank you so much Karen for this really lovely card

THE DALY WATERS PUB :
History abounds with the Daly Waters Pub even though the Pub is a little off the Main Stuart Highway.,many of the artifacts there are dating back to the early explorer John McDouall Stuarts days and onwards of yesterday are preserved within the pub .The Daly Waters Pub not only provides icy cold beers for the hot traveller out here it also invites Aussies to stay and enjoy the Aussie bush atmosphere  in the Motel and Caravan Park Accomodation..

This is New Zealand's famous Parrot. These audacious birds often live around the snowline , apparently knowing no fear or cold Easily approached and fed ,they eat all kinds of things -especially bright , shiny ,chewy or colourful objects ... that may be attatched to your car .Although amusing They are potentially very destructive and dangerous as they peck anything including eyes (colourful and shiny ) .

This card received some time ago and lost in the mix...shows two women working picking tea leaves in the high mountains of Darjeeling in India..I actually took some photos of this myself and was hard to pick them out in he mist of the mountains..Darjeeling is world famous for its fine tea..Thank you .

Chesapeake Bay.
 A nice multi-view coloured card of the various lighthouses within the Chesapeake bay..Some really unique looking lighthouses displayed here ,,It is amazing how different they can all be..The card also shows the various lighthouse dates of construction.Thank you for this card

with more than 4000 miles of shoreline Chesapeake is Americas largest inland estuary. A century ago this was by far the nations best lit waterway.The earlier lighthouses were conical stone structures but the vicious shoals of the bay required screw piled construction which engineers developed by the 1850's

This Postcard Uniting meeting card is one from the recent meeting held in Croydon, Sydney, Australia on the 19 August 2018. This was a small Post Card United meeting and attended by only a few people and was held at the "Post Card Fair" in Croydon that is held every six months..Literally thousands of postcards for the sender and the collector..So many tables with such varied cards...also to be found are old magazines , comics , novels and books.This was my first Postcard United meetup.
This was the meet up card released on the day..

 This is a great card from Oklahoma USA showing the various Indian tribes areas and their names within the state.
This is a very interesting card and shows the many and varied tribal names.. When recently visiting Oklahoma I visited a reservation of Choctaw and Chickasaw peoples ..looking at their culture and the so many ways that they live today..a special museum and are showing various clothes the teaching of their native languages along with their many arts and crafts,,I was dissapointed that we couldn't stay longer as it was late in the day and the area was closing..A special thanks to my friends who took me there for this visit.. I really loved Oklahoma.  Thank you Lukas for this nice map card.

   Oklahoma,s name is derived from two Choctaw words , Okla = meaning people and Humma = red people..literally red people. There are currently 39 Native American tribes living in Oklahoma.and Oklahoma has the second largest native American population of any state in the Union.

Thank you Joey...very thoughtful of you to send this as I was looking for a card of this great spot" Preikestolen" located in southern Norway so much wanted to go there when I was in Stavanger ...I am angry now that I didn't. Norway and its amazing fjords are really something to see..The scenery is truly wonderful.I was lucky to see so much on my drive to the Nord Cape. and midnight sun.

The multi- view card shows some scenes of Robben Island located just off the coast of South Africa famous for it being where Nelson Mandella and many others were incacerated.A nice aerial view of  Robben  Island .and Table Mountain,.The ferry for access to the Island , the lighthouse that was activated in 1865 ,and the prison cell of the famous Nelson Mandella.
