Known as The Old Line State.also with nick names of "Free State" and "Little America". Maryland was the Seventh State to join the Union and joined the union on April 28 th 1788. Maryland is one of the smallest states of the Union in area but also one of the most densely populated. Maryland has the highest median household income of any State.. The Capital is Annapolis and the largest City is Baltimore..home of the Baltimore Orioles baseball team.. The State bird is the Oriole and the State flower is "Black eyed Susan.".thank you Arnold for this card
