Seen here on this card is one of the Perth City local suburban electric train units..The early 1990's saw the completion of the Electrification of the Perth City Suburban railway network. The modern 2 car electric units were purchased to replace the entire diesel rail-car fleet.They have proven to be very popular with passengers and patronage has increased. The no. 219 seen here was photographed at the refurbished Perth Station on 14th January 1993.
