Ireland
Cork : Ireland.
A lovely card of the famous "Blarney Castle " ..Have you kissed the Blarney Stone.. Well, I laid upside down to do the deed what millions had done before me and kissed the Blarney Stone...No wonder the Irish shake their head and call it a" bunch of Blarney"...A souvenir card from this site.
Situated five miles from Cork city this castle is famous for its "Stone " which has its traditional power of conferring eloquence on all who kiss it..The word Blarney means pleasant talk..attended to deceive without offending. The Battlements crowning the castle keep are typically Irish in form, below them is the famous stone set in the wall, and to kiss it one has to lie down lean back while grasping an iron railing from the parapet walk of the battlements..
