This is a wonderful card of The famous "Raffles Hotel" in Singapore..This was a must "see and do" on my visit and like so many visitors before me, I just had to have one or more of those famous "Singapore Slings " and as the day was extremely hot and humid this definatly was the right decision and the right place to be.As.I sat under the fans in the "Long Bar" I wondered of all the personalities that had done exactly what I was doing and as it was such a great cocktail , I had two.. A truly wonderful Hotel from Colonial days that has been restored to its 1930's elegance One notices upon entry the large Indian turbaned gentleman at the door ushering in guests and must say that I felt a little anxious..This marvelous Building from English Colonial times retains its elegance and with its many different bars is a great place to let a few relaxing hours slip by." Raffles" is not only a very famous Singapore landmark.I believe that it is famous worldwide..Stop by ...you wont regret it !!
This is a souvenir card That I chose on my stay in Singapore on my "around the World by Train " adventure.and sent home from my visit here .Other pics are my own from my visit to Raffles..
