Australia.

Sydney : NSW.

A great card of the "SS. South Steyne" . One of many Sydney Harbour Ferries that carried the locals and visitors across the beautiful Sydney Harbour from The City Ferry Terminal at Circular Quay to The wonderful location of Manly.. Built in Scotland on the clyde The SS South Steyne steamed to Sydney in 64 days and entered into service on the Sydney Harbour for The Port Jackson and Manly Steamship Company Ltd. in 1938. This Ferry was the last of the many conventional Manly ferries that were really loved by the locals that used them daily to get to work.. This was once the largest and fastest Ferry Boat in the world.. This lovely Ferry has been restored and is today a vibrant restaurant  located in Sydneys  Darling Harbour precinct.. The majority of Manly Ferries as they were known carried the names of the many surfing beaches located on the Manly Peninsular..ie : Dee Why , Curl Curl , Narrabeen , Collaroy  , Harbord,  (and still do ) The  South Steyne's ferry's carrying capacity was 1780 Passengers..
This is a souvenir I got from the Railway Shop in Sydney... a great and memorable souvenir it is.
