Michigan : USA.
This is another wonderful souvenir card that I sent home from the amazing Ford Motor Museum on my visit there recently in Dearborn Michigan. A truly amazing Museum.
This card shows another of the many Presidential limousines that are on display there This is "The Bubble Top" Limousine a massive and specially built 1950 Lincoln Cosmopolitan convertible that was nicknamed "The Bubble Top'. This particular limousine provided transportation for four US Presidents. The car was first used by the President Harry S Truman , then by President Dwight D Eisenhower who had the plastic "Bubble Top " fitted over the rear passenger compartment in 1954. President John F Kennedy used this car for his inauguration in 1961 and President Lyndon B Johnson used it again in his re election in 1964. This Presidential limousine was retired from service in 1967.
(inset photo ) President Eisenhower waves from inside the "BubbleTop" while on parade.
