So many figures covered in yellow cloth ...all in a row.. |
|
Looking at this figure ..just seems so relaxing in its manner. |

The new consumes the old. I really like this photo.. (my photo ) |
The Postcard shows a great scene of this Statues head as the new consumes the old.. This is a very well known photo of this spot in Wat Mahatat . I also took this photo myself. After arriving here by train from Bangkok's "Hualampong Central Station" I hired a local "Tuk Tuk" for the whole day and managed to visit so much of the many Temples, Wats , Stupas, Chedis and Pagodas that are here in this amazing old city. This amazing Temple City that used to be The Capital of Thailand before being ransacked is a site to behold. The ancient City is spread out over a vast area and my Tuk Tuk driver really knew the best to see and I believe that this was definately the best way to see so much of this magnificent old City in the time that I had which was most of the day....This is a Unesco World Heritage Site and a marvelous place to visit with its many Shrines, Stupas, Wats and Pagodas.. This is a must in any travelers book.
.This is a souvenir postcard that I chose to send home from Ayuthaya from my really memorable visit to this ancient City. This was an extremely hot and humid day..sometimes you have to sit down.!!
Another wonderful site visited on my "Around the World by Train " Journey " Posted 26 May 2009.
