 This is one in a recent " Maxi card " series of the Planets of the Solar System.. I chose this card as one out of the series..with the card showing the Land of OZ on our planet Earth..A nice card in a popular series.

Broome : WESTERN AUSTRALIA. :

What a great scene this is !!.. a group of visitors to Broome,  take an evening sunset camel ride along Cable Beach. This is a very popular destination for travelers and visitors to this amazing place in North western part of Western Australia. love this card ..

Sydney AUSTRALIA.:

This "maxi card" is a card in a recent released series.."Animals in War " and is also a commemoration of those animals that were in the various wars affecting Australia. This card shows the fantastic (Waler Horses ) of the Australian Light Horse  ( A.L.H. ) These horses were all Australian horses that were procured for the military from many parts of the country. that went on board the many ships with the men That sailed from King Georges Sound in Western Australia to the many various battlefields in the middle east and north Africa. This conflict had a huge affect on the country and its peoples as the losses were so many for such a small population  so much so, that there were some country towns and villages that were virtually devoid of men after this war..This photo showing a light horse regiment on the march ..could be in Egypt , Syria , or Palestine. I have such an admiration for these soldiers and their amazingly tough horses ...some carried their riders thousands of miles into the many different battles..My father was a light horsemen in Egypt and Palestine.

Perth  : WESTERN AUSTRALIA.:

A card from Western Australia and showing a little old wooden house located in The Kings Park Perth..This park is a very large park that overlooks the city of Perth and a very favourite quiet and beautiful place for locals and visitors alike with such an abundance of local flowers and plants.so many located in the Botanical Gardens there.I always visit Kings Park when in Perth..a nice place to relax Also a place to visit the Perth Military War Memorial.

United States of America

New Jersey : USA.:

A great swap card .. This is special as I have a great interest in this class of magnificent and huge battleships that have such an impressive and gallant history.The biggest ever built by the USA for their needs in WWII... This Iowa Class of battle ships The USS IOWA (BB61) The USS.Missouri  (BB 63), The USS New Jersey (pictured ) ( BB 62), and The USS WISCONSIN (BB64). All of this particular class of Battleships have now been retired from the US Navy and are floating museums and are located in various parts of the country.. I have visited The USS Missouri that is located at Pearl Harbour in Hawaii and is truly worth a visit.
The USS New Jersey  (The nations most decorated ship ) .is located on the Delaware River along the Camden waterfront in New Jersey.across from Centre City Philadelphia, To visit any of these battleships is to be in awe of their size and capability. I hope to visit the USS New Jersey on my next visit to the USA..
.The USS Wisconsin is at the naval base in Norfolk Virginia and the USS Iowa is located in Los Angels.The USS Iowa after its retirement was donated to the Los Angeles based non profit .The Pacific Battleship Centre in 2011.and was permanently moved to Berth 87 at the port of Los Angeles in 2012..  This is another fine card from a good friend from Georgia..a place not many people receive cards from.. I thank you Khaty for always remembering me ..This card shows The Jvari Monastery , a sixth century Orthodox Monastery sitting dominatly atop the mountain in the sunshine ..This is a listed Unesco World Heritage Site.Thanks again.. love this card..and stamps.

Another card in trilogy of great train cards that I have just received from a kind friend while on her travels. through Germany..This card shows a train traveling through the Schwartzwold.( Black Forrest ). I just love old steam trains...well.. I love all trains ..but especially these as they are few and far between these days!! Thank you Jodie..hugs. I always love to receive wildlife cards and this one from my good friend in Java has sent this one showing the Eagle Owl  ( Bubo Sumatrus).. Thank you so much Andrea for this card.
The Eagle Owl depending on definition...is one of over two dozen species of typical owls found in many parts of the world.

What a great surprise ..Thank you Martina for this lovely card from your homestate..Card shows a colourful scene of a traditional wedding in the Galichnig Region of Macedonia.Being an annual event wedding couples have to reserve a year in advance to participate in this event and apparently people come from abroard for this type of wedding...so nice.. looks like lots of fun also..love the stamp...
