  A lovely Postcrossing train card fro Arizona.  Thank you so much Sharleen for this great card and one for my train card collection.I Imagine that your trip there to Alaska was one of excitement and as you say a  huge state to see.  I really have The Alskan Railways on my list of trains to ride..This card is of The Skagway Rail  "The Thunderbird Diesel Locomotive " crossing The  Galcier Bridge in Skagway.  The Great Horned Owl: Are very large birds of prey standing as high as 24 inches.tall. They do not migrate and spend their entire lives in a limited area. They are born in late winter -early spring  the young are capable of flight at eight weeksold . They are copletely dependent on their parents for food and do not leave the nest Rabbitts and mice are their stale diet.

Thank you Arnold for this great swap.The Petrified Forrest in Arizona is a place I visited when crossing to California from Texas . This card brings back many memories for me ., and is a great National Park to visit. Th card shows one of the colourful circular formations. Also great stamps mate.. This is a lovely card from the Joshua Tree National Park.. Thank you for remembering me Arnold on your trip to Arizona. also thanks for the "Year of the Pig " Chinese New Year stamps.
JOSHUA TREE :  Joshua trees are amongst the oldest living organisms in the desert,but determining their precise age is difficult because they do not form annual rings as other trees do with cambrium layers as Oak and Pine do.They range in height from 9 to 30 feet and have trunks between 1.25 and 5 feet in diameter.

An interesting card from a fellow Post crosser..it is always interesting to get cards of the solar system and their information.This card shows.the view of Mercury's southern hemispheric limb which refers to the edge of a planetary disc.where the planets atmosphere meets the darkness of space.Here we see a number of prominent impact craters on the planets surface.

What a great card ..just love naval ships and this is a famous one The first USS Arizona.BB39..I wont go into all the specifications as they can be read off the card ...needless to say a famous ship  Sunk at Pearl Harbour during the Japanese attack on the fleet on December 7th 1941..is straddled today where it sunk by a memorial to all lost there and on that day....Thank you for this card swap Jessika..

Another and the last of a bunch of baseball stadium cards that I have just received   so many to add to my now healthy collection of "Baseball Stadiums" or Ball Parks..This card shows the popular "Chase Field in Phoenix Arizona and home to the Arizona Diamond backs. This Baseball Stadium is the only baseball facility in the world to have a retractable roof , swimming pool , natural turf and air-conditioning.The Arizona Diamondbacks played their first game here on March 31 1998.This stadium took 28 months to build and cost $354,000,000.      Thank you again Ruby for all these great cards.

 Another great baseball card for the collection...thank you so much Ruby for all these baseball cards that you have just sent ...This card shows the Chase Field Base Ball Park in Phoenix Arizona and from its signature swimming Pool to its retractable roof Chas Field Park has become one of baseballs recogniseable landmarks in just a few short seasons.This air-conditioned facility opened its doors to a regular season game on March 31 1998.Thank you again Ruby..

Here is a truly wonderful card showing Hopi pottery ..I love the colours of the earth in this card.
 A Hopi wedding Belt and sash belt frame the graceful shapes of Hopi pottery,from the pleasing creation of the Butterfly bowl and wedding vase both in buff white to the stunning earth red polychrome pottery. Hopi Pottery remains traditional in its forms and patterns. It is a treasured piece in any collection. Grand Canyon : U.S.A.

 This looks like the way to see the Grand Canyon from another perspective.. by The Grand Canyon Railway. . The Grand Canyon Railway made its first journey into the Grand Canyon in 1901., allowing visitors to see the legendary Canyon in ease and comfort which suited lots of elderly visitors.By 1968 the Railway had almost faded in obscurity as train travel giving way to the rising popularity of Automobile travel. However in 1989 it was resurrected and today carries more than 180,000 passengers a year to The Grand Canyon National Park.. Thanks Benita for this lovely card.
