 Recently received from a very good friend  This is one of some cards included in the envelope  also included was this recently released stamp  by The Vietam Postal Service. set of "The Year of The Ox" The zodiac animal for the year of 2021.. Thank you so much again Trang for all the enclosed cards and stamps  ..love tem all The stamps are of my  favourite theme Chinese new Year and in Vietnam is "Tet".celebrations  thanks again  The card shows a scene fron The Old Quarter in Hanoi !

 A surprise envelope arrived today with a lot of kindness from my friend Trang in Saigon..  Thank you so much my dear for all that was enclosed  I love it !!  lovely cards from Hanoi and a beautiful stampset of Year of the OX ..  The card shows The  Thoi Ngoc Hau Tomb Chau Doc.
The stamps are my favourite theme thank you so much .. Cam on Trang..

I beleive that the postcards fro Vietnam are the  nicest cards of all..  This car shows a lovely Vietnamese woman in Hanoi..  and appears to be putting symbols on the tree for  The "Tet"celebrations for Vetnamese New Year .. Thank you Trang for this lovely New Year card..also the many lovely stamps.

 This has to be one of my all time favourite cards. This lovely card is another sent by a dear friend in Vietnam and features the Vietnamese Lunar New Year  "TET" 2014 "Year of The Horse" as released by The Vietnamese Postal Service from Saigon Central Post Office..This is a wonderful card for me as I really enjoy to receive Lunar New Year Post cards every year from all over the world especially Asia..This card is such a lovely card also showing The Central Post Office in Saigon.which is a lovely Post Office. Thank you so much Trang for taking time out to get this card and stamps for me..

 Here are two great Lunar New Year Cards sent from a wonderful friend in Vietnam... They are commemorating the "Year of The Goat" beginning on 19th February 2015. This is the period of TET in Vietnam's New Year.
  TET : or Vietnamese New Year is the most important celebration in Vietnamese Culture. The word is a shortened form of the Term: " Tet Nguyen Dan" which is  (Sino Vietnamese ) for "Feast of the First Morning of the First Day " Tet celebrates the arrival of Spring based on the Vietnamese variation of the Chinese Lunisolar calendar which usually has the date falling between January and February.. Tet is usually celebrated on the same day as Chinese New Year except when the one hour time difference between Vietnam and China results in New Moon occuring on different days.Tet is also a big occasion for pilgrims and and family reunions Tet is the time to visit relatives and Temples.
 Tet is considered to be the first day of Spring and the Festival is often called Hoi Xuan (spring festival ).. Thank you so much Trang for these lovely Lunar New Year cards and beautiful stamps that you have got especially for me ..Cam on..

 What a great surprise today to find all these great New Year wishes cards from my great friends across SE Asia..  This absolutely lovely envelope revealed for me a lovely little red pouch my gift and also inside the lovely card was my lucky coin...such a wonderful tradition and a lovely gesture with best of wishes for my coming Vietnamese TET celebrations of Lunar New Year of 2015 The "Year of The Goat"..
