.Lying in the remotest part of the South Atlantic is Tristan da Cunha..a British pocession. Lying halfway between Africa and South America in the far south Atlantic it is the remotest Archipelago in the world.and 2000 kilometers from its nearest Island South Helena and 2400 kilometers from closest land mass of Africa. Tristan da Cunha is  part of The British Territories of Saint Helena and Ascencion Islands . The capital of Tristan da Cunha is Edinburgh of the seven Seas.with a current population of 262 ( January 2017).

La Gomera : CANARY ISLANDS.:
My first card from this particular Island in The Canary group of Islands..La Gomera is one of The Spanish Canary  Islands located in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa.and has an area of 369.76 kilometers and is the second smallest of the seven main islands in the group. The island belongs to the province of  Santa Cruz de Tenerife and its capital is San Sebastian de la Gomera where the headquarters to the Cabildo are located..

Lanzarote: CANARY ISLANDS. (SP)

A great surprise today my first card from one of the Canary Islands. Thanks Birgit this is a great surprise and I guess one of the least visited islands in the group..Lanzarote is the the easternmost of the Autonomous Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean approximately 125 kilometers  (78 miles ) off the coast of Africa and 1000 kilometers ( 621 miles ) from The Iberian peninsular. Covering  845.9 square kilometers (327 sq.miles ) it is the fourth largest island in the Canary group. Born out of many fiery eruptions Lanzarote has solidified lava streams and is well known for its extravagant  rock formations and volcanoes..Thank you so much Birgit love this card..

The capital city is Funchal.The Archipelego is one of two Portugese autonomous regions the other being the Azores that is located to the northwest. Today it is a very popular year round holiday destination and over one million visitors arrive each year..The Island is famous for its wine and embroidery.The Island boasts the biggest New Years Eve fireworks display in the world.
