BONAIRE : Dutch and is an Island in The Leeward Antilles in the Caribbean Sea. Togeather with Aruba and Curacao this group of Islands are known as The ABC Islands and located less than a hundred miles off the north coast of South America and western part of Venezuela .Unlike most of the Carribean Region the ABC's lie outside the Hurricane belt and the Islands have an arid climate which helps tourism as visitors to these islands can expect warm sunny weather. Bonaire is a very popular destination for scuba divers and is also well known for its easy access to the various reefs from the shore.
Bonaire's Capital is Kralenldjik.The Island has a permanent population of 18,905 ( as of January 1st 2015 ) and has an area of 294 KM2. Togeather with ( uninhabited Island of "Klein Bonaire ") Bonaire was a part of The Netherlands Antilles until the country's dissolution in 2010 when the Island became a special municipality within the country of The Netherlands and is one of the three BES Islands The other two BES Islands are Saint Ustacius and Saba..( courtesy of Wikipedia)
