This is a recent release Maxi Card AAT. series by Australia Post of the most recent Australian Scientific research vessel " NUYENA" for research in the Australian Antarctic Territorial waters. This card was a first day of release card released on the 29th September 2020 in Kingston Tasmania area code 7050.

This is a first day release series of cards of the expedition of The Ship the" HMAS WYATT EARP" to Astralian Antarctic Territory . THis is a first dat relaese series of maxi cards released March 31 in Kingston Tasmania 7050. This is a lovely set with lovely stamps and postmarks.

This one of a series of first day realease maxi cards of The Australian Antarctic Territory and shows the ship The RSV "Aurora Australis" This is a first day release card released by Australia Post in Kingston Tasmania 7060 on the 26th September 2018. A 30 year commemoration
The RSV Aurora Australis is a multi purpose research and re supply vessel built in Newcastle NSW in 1989 and will be relaced with a new vessel in 2019.

This is another in this lovely photographic series of "first day release " cards from the Australian Antarctic Territory recently released by Australia Post depicting famous photos take by John Hurley of an expedition to the Territory. This card shows the Icebound bow of the "Endurance" which I am sure for all concerned was a worrying experience.This photograph is from the National Library of Australia.

Macquarie Island : AUSTRALIA.:
A lovely recently released card from Australia Post from Macquarie Island .love it and the dogs looking after the Royal Penguins there ..breeding on the Island.
Macquarie Island is located in the south west Pacific half way between New Zealand and Antarctica. Politically a part of the state of Tasmania in 1900 and became a Tasmanian State reserve in 1978 and Unesco World Heritage site in 1997. The Island is the home entirely to the Royal Penguin during their annual nesting season.
Ecologically . the Island is part of the Antipodes Sub Antarctic Islands Tundra Eco division. Since 1948 Australia Antarctic Division has maintained a permanent base known as The Macquarie Island Station on an isthmus at the northern end of the island at the foot of wireless Hill.The population of the base, the only human habitation usually varies from 20 to 40 persons over the year.A heliport is located near the base.
