Canada

Alberta CANADA.:

Love this card .. Trupti you send the best cards " this is a great card that shows all these wild horses in Alberta I guess you call them "mustangs."   The card notes :
While living in the wild at times be very harsh  having to survive in extremes of temperature and predators these animals live an extraordinary and free- spirited life. Horses are very social animals and here in the wild they are free to create bonds with each other that many other captive or "Coralled horses" never get or experience
Thanks again Dear Trupti for this most wonderful card and all the stamps that you have also kindly added...love it !! Merci ! Thank you...

United States of America.

Bethesda : MD.
Love this card from a fellow Postcrosser in Maryland USA.. showing the wild horses (ponies ) of Assateague Island located off the Coast of Maryland.Thank you so much for this great card Patricia... I used to have an old friend who lived in Virginia and  used to join in "The roundup" of these wild ponies there now and again..Thank you for the memories.Patricia..you are a gem..

Assateague Island : is a 37 mile (60  kilometer ) long barrier Island located off the eastern coast of "Delmarva" .The Northern two thirds of the Island is in Maryland while the southern third is in Virginia. The Maryland section contains the majority of The Assateague Island National Seashore and The Assateague State Park. The Virginia section contains the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge and a one mile stretch of land containing the life-guarded recreational beach and interpretive facilities managed by The National Park Service and is best known for its herds of feral horses , pristine Beaches and The Assateague Lighthouse.
The feral horse population of Assateague Island is alternatively known as the "Assategue Horse " in Maryland and the "Chincoteague Pony " in Virginia. The Maryland  horses are owned and manged by The National Park Service who have carefully followed the population over generations. In Virginia , The Chincoteague ponies are owned by " The Chincoteague Voluntary Fire Department".
.Once a year in July the local "salt water cowboys" round them up and sort out a number of animals to be removed from the Island  which are then herded to the beach and swum off the Island..then,  are put up for Auction on "pony penning " day.  ...Information courtesy of "Wikipedia"..
