This is onoe in a series of first day release maxi cards  in a set  entitled Australia 's "extinct volcanoes"..I really liked this lovely card out of the series and Shows Lord Howe Islad.  What a magnificent place. This is in the location of the State of New South Wales and is a very popular destination. This was realeased first day in Lord Howe Island  2898 on  July 13 2021.

WEll one doesnt receive too many cards from this Central American Nation and thank you William for this swap card The card shows the Volcano of San Salvador ."El Boqueron ".that is located in front of the city of San Salvador ..The last eruption of this large Volcano was on the 7th June 1917.

What a great card..and thank you Tomoko..this is a great card and thank you for the swap..I have this train on my must do list..and am sure it is as good as all that have traveled on it say it is..This is a great scene of The "Shinkansen" train with the lovely Mount Fujiama in the background..

A lovely multi -view card showing the many attractions that are found here at Puerto Varas.Thank you Carol for remembering me on your journey here..it looks very peaceful..This particular region of Puerto Varas was colonised for Germans in 1853  The lake is overlooked by this snow capped volcano. This looks like a lovely place to visit...Thank you Carol for this nice card..Unfortunately the dummies in the post office stuck the stamps allover the card..

 What a great card..says so much ..I think there is something amazing about volcanoes and their ability to just cause so much mayhem in a minute.and change the whole environment for everything...This card shows the Volcano Popocatepetl located located in the suburbs of the city and is 5,432  meters in height..The name Popocatapetl comes from the "Nahuati' words popoca  "it smokes"and tepetl  "mountain" thus the "Smoking Mountain."

A great surprise today my first card from one of the Canary Islands. Thanks Birgit this is a great surprise and I guess one of the least visited islands in the group..Lanzarote is the the easternmost of the Autonomous Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean approximately 125 kilometers  (78 miles ) off the coast of Africa and 1000 kilometers ( 621 miles ) from The Iberian peninsular. Covering  845.9 square kilometers (327 sq.miles ) it is the fourth largest island in the Canary group. Born out of many fiery eruptions Lanzarote has solidified lava streams and is well known for its extravagant  rock formations and volcanoes..Thank you so much Birgit love this card..

This card is of another Volcano from this land of fire and Volcanoes..and shows the heat and steam rising form this active Volcano Ijen crater. known as the" sea of sand" I can imagine how hot the sand is.!! Thaank you for this fine card but look at the wonderful stamp set. The Chinese New Year, zodiac sign   "The Year of The Rat.2008" A wonderful set released by The Indonesian Postal Service in celebration of the New Year. Thank you so much Christie for this great swap..I love it..

This is another lovely card from The Island of Montserrat in the WI...This card shows The Volcanic eruption on 21 st October 1979. This Ash cloud photo was taken from The Montserrat ferry on its way to Antigua.The glowing scene (Lahar ) is taken on the 27 January 1997 at 11.30 PM..Thank you.

 Located in The Tongariro National Park Mount Ruapehu is in the Centre of The North Island of New Zealand and is very close to the popular Lake Taupo  an area famous for its fishing and water sports. This also makes this a popular area for skiing, tramping, and sightseeing the two ski fields here Whakapapaand Turoa, both offering excellent facilities for snow skiers.
