 The Great Horned Owl: Are very large birds of prey standing as high as 24 inches.tall. They do not migrate and spend their entire lives in a limited area. They are born in late winter -early spring  the young are capable of flight at eight weeksold . They are copletely dependent on their parents for food and do not leave the nest Rabbitts and mice are their stale diet.

 Thank you Julia,..  so nice to hear fro you agin with this lovely card of this arctic Owl..  What a lovely looking bird   as you go into winter soon we are going into summer and they warn of extreme temperatures coming !! alraedy it is in the 30's this weekend into the 40's..  not looking forward to the extreme heat although I love and prefer summer to winter  Thanks again for this lovely card .
