I do not know who sent me this funny little Christmas card ..but Thank you ..the card I am told was purchased in Tallin Estonia , then traveled to Canada   and then was posted from the USA...thank you for this card...

Thank you Patrik for this lovely card showing the women of the small region of Setomar in south eastern  Estonia. in very decorative National Dress.: The inhabitantsof this region  have very distinctive traditions ,language, and religion .They are orthodox as most Estonians are Lutheran,,Thank you Patrik for that information..

This card shows a beautiful scene in Tallinn of The Christmas tree in the Main square of the city "City Hall Square" which is a Unesco World Heritage Site..This is truly a beautiful city and as anyone who has visited it will agree..I surely loved my time there and would return given the chance.. This is a PIF card # 40 sent by a fellow card member Patrick ..Thank you for this lovely cards and also thye "Year of the Monkey " stamp..as I collect these Chinese Zodiac stamps and cards/.Thanks again

Tallinn.: ESTONIA.         THE MOSCOW TO TALLINN "TALLINNA EXPRESS #23."
A very heavy downpour just after I arrive at the "Leningradsky" Railway Station , and then  a short wait for the train sees my exit out of Moscow and heading for Tallinn in Estonia..after hearing so much of this lovely place and its people it was with great interest  and anticipation that I look forward to my destination..I have a good bed for the night in a four bed "Kupeny"..with lovely clean sheets and a hot cup of tea not long after the train departs Moscow..The difference is noticeable not very long after crossing the border into Estonia..The .traffic , cars, roads many things that immediately grab your attention I was really taken by the sophistication  of these Baltic countries, as it is very quickly recognised after Moscow. The lovely well dressed women to be seen everywhere.There is much more colour here !!
   I was met at the Tallinn Station at an early hour by the manager of the Hostel  that I had booked from Moscow. At first this is difficult as I have lost my cards when I was robbed.. Well...what a wonderful man, and I soon learn his family went to Australia to settle after WWII. Here he is back in his home again after many years, now  running a very successful buisiness I can't believe how much  I am spoilt while staying here. . I will never forget the generosity that was shown to me while on my stay here.. This card shows a panoramic scene of the City of Tallinn a real "chocolate box" scenery is to be viewed everywhere.. I fall in love with this place and its people.. as someone else once said  "I shall return"..Time went by quickly with so much to see and do and everyday spending some time in the old city...absolutely beautiful.This was a souvenir card I posted home from my visit and my stop "Around The World by Train" journey. This Greetings from card is From the beautiful Baltic State of Estonia.. A small but really wonderful country to visit. The country covers an area of  45,227 KLM2. with a population of 1,311,870. The capital city is Tallinn and what a beautiful old city it is..It is known as the homeland of innovation..Estonia was the first country where elections were held and its citizens could vote on line...Skype was invented here by Estonian programmers in 2003. Almost 50% of Estonia is covered by Forrest  I really loved my time in Tallinn and is one country that I would love to return to .Thank you for this card Daniela..

What a beautiful city this is ..This card shows the" Old Town of Tallinn" and to walk through this lovely part of the city is really something..The view from the top of town is even more spectacular. looking down over its marvelous old Architecture.
 This is great memories of time spent in this absolutely lovely city.. I hope to return when possible..  This is a souvenir card from my visit here on my journey "Around The World by Train journey. Posted  Tallinn May 2010..
