UNIQUE to the Philippines is the TAAL Volcanoe. Located in a lake in Talisay , Batangas as it has a lake inside it and in the lake is a small island..
RICE TERRACES,: The Rice Terraces of The Cordilleras were built about 2,000 years ago and still remain as they would have been in pre colonial times.
FAMOUS: Emmanuel " Manny "Dapidran Pacquiao one of the greatest boxers of all time.
VOLCANOE.:  Mayon Volcanoe (2,400 meters ) and has a perfectly symmetrical cone shape and is the most active volcanoe in The Philippines and has erupted 49 times in the last 400 years.
HISTORY : The arrival of Ferdinand Magellan in March 1521 marked the beginning of Spanish interest in the Philippines.

What a lovely card this is ,, it is a Year of the Dog card in the Chinese Zodiac for 2018...also a friend PIF RAS card # 1..I love this card and it arrived while my dog was in the vet and really sick ..this card was a good omen for my boy who survived his crisis,,and is now back home.. I was just so worried for him...Thank you so much Chloe for this great card.and stamps..

Thank you again Keith for this and other cards from your recent journey to The Philippines.. This colourful card shows the many masks of festival goers at this "The Masskara Festival"that is held in Bacolod city..
 Masskara is coined from the word "mass" which means crowd and the Spanish word "cara" that means face. The two words combined have become the local word for "Mask". The festival showcases colourful costumes of masks made out of papier mache and molded clay. The Masskara Festival is held on the weekend closest to October 19th.

A lovely colourful card showing a festival dance.. The Sua Sua dance.This is a dance from Jolo and is a dance of courtship accompanied by a song performed by the lover to his ladylove , comparing her to the delicate little white blossoms of the Pomelo.
