 There are many releases by Australia Post of our wildlife   I love to collect a lot of the wildlife cards and send them to friends and postcrossers ..This is one that I liked very much showing these two very young Tasmanian Devils  .I love it .I have a friend who I have sekected to receive this card soon .She is a great artist and I am sure she will make a wondeful drawing of this lovely card.

  This is something that I read and  was just so impressed  by that I just had to add this story to my blog. !!  We as humans think we are so good and strong with enourmous endurance !and are the best on the planet !! Well, I've got news for you.!! having read this article and looking at this luttle birds Amazing acheivement I felt commpelled to share it. I hope that you share the same interest in this amazing story as I do!    This is endurance !

                                           WORLD CHAMPION RECORD HOLDER .

 THE  BATAILED GODWIT :
  This story begins with this very young juvenile bird of some five months old  that was "tagged "leaves  YK Delta Alaska  on the 13th October 2022 on its most amazing flight to Australia of some 13,560 kilometers in  11 days .. NON STOP !  unbeleivable.. to think that this was a non stop flight without food and water ,sleep .with an average of 51 km/hr for 11 days.!The flight ended in Ansons Bay  Tasmania Australia on the 24th of October 2022.  This amazing feat of endurance has  beaten, and created a  new World Record for the longest continual flight of  a bird   The bird arrived and is lterally skin and bone using all its bodyweight to make the flight , and now rests to build up its strength again..  I find this so amazing ! I think of all that stormy weather encountered on this little birds journey !!

This is a first day release maxi-card released last year ...  I really liked this series of Weather clouds.. This particular formation of cloud known as "Mammatus" .I saw in a weather event of large hail stones accompanied by very heavy rain last week here ..I think it is the first time that I have seen them or otherwise, the  first time that I have taken notice of this type of cloud formation. this photo was taken in Booborowie Suth Australia...
This card was released in Whitehaven Tasmania on the 1st. May 2018.

THE TASMAN BRIDGE   HOBART  TASMANIA.

Hobart TASMANIA.:
 A lovely new "first day released : maxi card showing the"Tasman Bridge over the Derwent River in Hobart Tasmania..This bridge has a bit of a history as it was the scene of a tragic event that happened when a ship hit the bridge and brought down the highway above along with some unfortunate traffic that was crossing the Bridge at the time.

THE TASMAN BRIDGE DISASTER : occured on the 5th January 1975  in Hobart ( The capital city of  the State of Tasmania  ) when a bulk ore carrier  ( The Lake Illawarra ) carrying 10.000 tonnes of zinc ore concentrate traveling up the Derwent River collided with several of the pylons of the bridge thus causing the bridge to collapse also bringing  down  a large section of the roadway onto the ship and into the river. Twelve people were killed including seven crew onboard the ship , and the five occupants of four cars that fell the 45 meters (150 feet ) after driving off the bridge. The disaster severed the main link between Hobart and its eastern suburbs and is notable for the social impacts that resulted from the loss of such a vital road artery.  (info care of Wikipedia )

 A lovely card showing the scene of "Cradle Mountain..Lake St. Clair National Park in Tasmania..that is such a pristine wilderness for hikers .
The Cradle Mountain Lake St. Clair National Park is located in the central highlands of Tasmania 165 kilometres northwest of Hobart. The Park contains many walking trails and is where most hikes on the well known "Overland track" usually begin. The mani features are Cradle Mountain and Barn Bluff in the Northern end, Mount Pelion east and Mount Pelion west, Mount Oakleigh and Mount Ossa in the middle and Lake Saint Clair in the southern end of the park. This Park is part of The Tasmanian Wilderness World heritage The Park has been identified as an important bird and wildlife area..

 A great local Scene in Hobart of the Marina with Hobart City and Mount wellington in the background..A peaceful scene in one of the worlds great Islands. This was a souvenir card that I chose to send home from my last road trip here around the State with my good friend Keith..This surely is one of Australia's best kept secrets and is a lovely place to spend some free time..This State of Tasmania can certainly boast about its clean air , clean water, and amazing sea food..That is clear.

 A nice Multi view card of various scenes in Tasmania.. Australia's best kept secret..where the air is the cleanest.. the water is the sweetest.. and the seafood the tastiest..just a wonderful place to visit..and live...This is a souvenir card from one of my trips to the "Apple Isle" as it is known in Australia..Scenes show from top( L)  1,The famous convict Bridge at Ross, 2, The fantastic" Tahune Air Walk"   (through the treetops )  3.A wonderful scene of Cradle Mountain and  4. A scene of Russell Falls in the central rain forrest. I always send a souvenir card when traveling...this is a nice scenic card from Tasmania of my visit here.
