 What a lovely colourful card that  has just arrived from The USA.. Thank you so much Arnold ! You really spoil me with your travel cards.  I so appreciate your thoughtfulness. This card is from the huge festival that is held yearly in New Orleans and something that I have  always wanted to see   as it must be so much fun .. I have visited New Orleans and enjoyed its great food ..  The Carnival must be something to see .  Thank you Arnold once again ..  Great stamps !

 I love festival cards and also masks.. This card shows people celebrating the "Moriones Festival " in Marinduque Philippines celebrating Holy Easter Monday and Easter Sunday;

The Moriones refers to the masked and costumed perments who take part in the re eenactment of the Legend of Longuinus and the passion of the Christ Morions . They roam the streets of the town from Holy Monday to easter Sundayscaring the children and engaging in anticsor surprises to draw attention.. This festival is characterised by colourful Roman costumes,  brightly painted masks , helmets and tunics.

A lovely colourful card showing the faces of the four Guardian Kings of Bhutan.. A lovely card as I just love cards with masks.. from a trip from a good friends visit to the country of Bhutan. A country that I would so much love to visit...Thank you so much Poonam for these cards that you have sent for me..
The four Guardian Kings are :White.: Yulhor Sung of the east. Red Chenmi Zangof the west . Blue Pak Kuepo of the south and Yellow Nam Thoesay of the north..The four kings beleived to ward off evil eyes and pacify evil negativities are seen on the murals to the entrances into Forts and Temples in Bhutan.

What a great colourful card showing this "Cham Dance' in Bhutan and is a lively masked and costumed dance that is Associated with some sects of Tibetan,  Buddhism  and Buddhist Festivals..   What a lovely colourful card showing people enjoying the lovely colourful "Kasela Festival" in Manila .This festival is held every month of March in recognition of the centuries old "Horse drawn Carriages" or Kasela.one of the most relaible means of transportation in Manila during the turn of the century.
