 A surprise lot in my postbox yesterday..!! YAYYY...   The post these days in not as frequent and much more expensive ..  I am always just so pleased to receive my postcards  as they are a lot less in number than they used to be  mainly due to costs and also covid played a major role in that problem of distribution worlwide ! This is a lovely colourful lighthouse card fro A surprise friend in Seattle.  Thank you once again dear Stacia  as you always send such nice cards .This another for my growing lighthouse collection. A lovely card !

  I am surprised by another lovely train station card ..  amazing  that I receive  three in the same  postal  delivery...  Thank you so much "Jewel" for this fine train staion card of the Tacoma Union train station in Tacoma Washington State.  Always so nice  to receive , and another fine  Rail Station card to add to my theme collection of Railay Stations of the world. .  I have not been in this fine Train Station in my Travels but travelled from Seattle Central Station on the Amtrak "Empire Builder" to Chicago.on my "Around the USA by Train ".Thanks also for the fine train stamps..bery thoughtful of you..hugs !
 The  card shows : The old train station depot  Tacoma Union Station and the "Tacoma Dome "in the background  with Mount Rainier in the distance.

 What a lovely card of all these beautiful little birds  "Warblers "  so many., so different.,  it is such a lovely thing to be around birds and the joy they bring to us with their beautiful colours and lovely singing voices..  Always love to receive a train card..  they are among my favourites ! travelling by train is my favourite way to travel and always go by train whenever possible..  also I feel the cheapest and safest. I am happiest when riding the trains of the world.  This is an interesting card and shows The Rockaway Beach train that runs on The Oregon Coast.. Thank you Stacia for this lovely card .. will add to my blog ASAP.  thanks again and take care there,,This is a surprise card !

  Thank you Hallie for this kind card that you have sent me after I liked the post showing this card  .  Always have liked the Route 66 cards.I got to travel some of the "Mother road" Route  66 when in Oklahoma..Really would like to travel the whole Route one day.  The card shows a family in their 48 Buick convertible getting service in a Petrol station.. unfortunately the days of "service" are long gone . We used to call them Service Stations  !!! Thanks again Hallie ..I like this card..

 This black and white card shows a station foremans home loacted on "The Nebraskas Cowboy Rail line" .The section crews were paid to perform regular maintenamce on the stretches of railway track that was assigned to them.They inspected the rail lines to make sure that they were safe and stable and replaced rotted ties and rebuilt the roadbeds where neccesary, Pictured  is the foremans home beside the tracks .. I really love this series of cards !!   and I have a collection now that is growing of all these USA  State Birds and Flowers.. This card shows The State Bird of Washington State  "The Willow Goldfinch"  what a lovely little bird it is !! also the Flower of The Washington State is The Coast Rhododendron .
