 A mice surprise in the letterbox  yesterday :  This card showing the Monorail in the City of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia .,, when I was in Malaysia I used this monoraaul many times  and  found it fast and efficient .  This is a Postcrossing card . Thank you Bryan for this great card .

What a great card that has just arrived from Chennai  in India. This is one of the most favourite themes that I love to collect  railways and trains  themes  . This card shows the Central Railway Station in Chennai in Tamil Nadu.  I was on this railway Station when I caught my train from here to Kolkata .. and as is in India a most unbeleivably busy Train Station ..  thousands of people on the platforms  ..  but it all works  well  Thank you so much (unsigned ) for this great card .  Posted Chennai 08 March . : Arrived Sydney 02 April :  Traveled          kilometers in 25 days  .

   Thank you  Nicol for this lovely bridge card from the Land of a 1000 lakes.  a lovely train and bridge card to  add to my collection on my  postcard blog.  Thank you ...and you mention this is tthe only seven span arch bridge across the Mississippi and built in the late 1800's and part of The Correct Northern Railway. This is a Postcard United card..  Tank you and  I will scan the lovely stamps when scanner is repaired soon..

   A great rail card showing this suspended railway in Wuppertal in Germany that has been operating since 1801. This is an unusual railway train as it is suspended 10 meters above the ground ..operating at a distance of 13 kilometers in the town of Wuppertal in Germany  Thank you so much Sabine forthis nice and unusual card .This is a surprise card !Thank you also for adding the Postcrossing stamp.

         What a great card !. This  surprise card  arrived today from a friend in Singapore who always thinks of me with train cards . This is a great card sent from Hanoi and shows the "Kam Then Street " train  where the train goes through the neighbourhood and as it does it iis so close to shops and housing that the shop owners must put up their awnings so that the train does not hit them..  this is a place that I wanted to visit but I beleive now that this has been suspended.  Thank you so much Adriana  you are so kind in thinking of me with this card from your recent visit to Hanoi !

  A lovely Postcrossing train card fro Arizona.  Thank you so much Sharleen for this great card and one for my train card collection.I Imagine that your trip there to Alaska was one of excitement and as you say a  huge state to see.  I really have The Alskan Railways on my list of trains to ride..This card is of The Skagway Rail  "The Thunderbird Diesel Locomotive " crossing The  Galcier Bridge in Skagway.  Tokyo JAPAN : 

 I just love train cards especially now the super fast trains  and this is the first to do so The Japanese Shinkansen.  This card shows a recent model and this is the Tokaido Shinkansen,, This is a must do for me and look forward to the day that I can ride these Shinkansen trains,This is a Postcrossing card and many thanks to Asami for this great card for my train collection.Arigato Asami..

 Tkaido Shinkansen is part of the Japanese  high speed rail line that is part of the Japanese high speed train Shinkansen network. ,along wth the Sanyo Shinkanse  it forms a continuous railway through the  Tokaido Corridor . This was opened in 1964 and runs between Tokyo and Shin-Osaka .This was japans first high speed rail line .Along with it being the oldest high speed rail line it is also the most heavily used . The operating speed is 2875 KMPH. ( 177 MPH ) .The Shinkansen networks sees many different models ( types ) of the Shinkansen

    What a lovely card of this most unusual train . The" Wuppertaler Schweberebahn"  (Wuppertal suspension Railway ) This unique train that hangs from this  suspension  railway is located in Wuppertal Geramany . I would love to ride on this unique little railaway .

The Wuppertaler Schweberebahner..  ( Thw Wuppertal Suspension Railway.)
     This train operates on a single line and has 20 stations  . The Construction began in 1898 and  was overseen by The Governments master builder Wilhelm  Feldmann. On the 24th October 1900  Emperor Wilhelm II participated in its first run.The cost of construction was 16 million gold marks. The Railway was closed during WWII due to significant damage and was re opened as early as 1946 .

   Just Arrived .. this wonderful train card  ..  THis card is a Postcard United card and I love it  !! such a great card that shows The  Chinese Quinghai -Tibet Railway .  This is the highest train ride in the world and also a very long ride as well from Beijing To Lhassa in Tibet,,  such a  highaltitude that the train has oxygen supply throughout  the train due to the extreme altitude.  This is an astonishing acheivemnt to see how the Chinese workers  built this rail way line at such an extreme altitude.  This is a train journey that I would  surely love to take as it is oe of the worlds great train journeys. Thank you Isaac for this great card that I can add to my railway and trains collection of postcards.. Xie Xie.

 FINLAND :
  Always nice to receive another train card !  This is a surprise card from a friend in Finland and writes just so much information about that card  and tells me that the first train in Funland ran in 1862 from Helsinki to Hameenlinna..  and also tells ne that her uncle was an engine driver  and drove all diiferent engines from steam to diesel. Thank you so much for this lovely black / white card and will gladly  add to my train card collection thank  you "kitos " for this card and and all the information..
