A new series of cards from America.. so nice as they are the birds of the various states..Thank you so much Arnold for this swap.. I like these cards and maybe will get some more.. Card shows the State bird of Wyoming on this card..The western Meadowlark..also shows the State flower.. The Indian Paintbrush..  nice.. Thank you mate

Thank you Yuri for this card that has just arrived ..A swap card from Postcards United.. Thank you.. The card shows what I thought is a site called "Devils Tower"...as there is no information on the card. So I have gone to Wikipedia. for whatever information I need.:

 The Devils Tower : (Also known as Bear Lodge Butte ) is a laccolithic butte composed of igneous rock in The Bear Lodge Mountains,  part of the Black Hills.,near Hullet and Sundance in Crook  County in northeatern Wyoming, Located,just above the Belle Fourche River, it rises 1,267 feet ( 386 meters ) above the Belle Fourche River standing  867 feet (265 meters ) from summit to base.
 The summit is 5,112 feet ( 1559 meters ) above sea level. Devils Tower was the first United States National Monument established on 24th September 1906 by President Theodore Roosevelt. The Monuments boundary encloses an area of 1347 acres (545 Hectares.) In recent years about 1% of the monuments 400,000 visitors climbed Devils Tower using traditional climbing techniques..

The Teton Mountain range spans a fault line of some 40 miles long and seven to nine miles wide .
The Grand Teton is the highest peak at 13,770 feet.

This is another of these great old reproduction "Greetings from " postcards from the 30's-40's.. I really like them  they have a lot of character.This card is from Wyoming known as "The Cowboy State.." When one thinks of Wyoming one thinks of TV Westerns, Cowboys , "horse shit and gunshots" This is a great card.Also I really like the stamp theme that is attatched to all of these cards..Thank you Elizabeth..

Finally I have received a State map card of Wyoming..and thank you so much Lisa. Wyoming known as The Equality State.with an area of  97,014 square miles. Wyoming has a population of 331,000 and the Capital city is Cheyenne. The State flower is The Indian paintbrush, and State bird is the Meadowlark.Wyoming was the   44th State to be admitted into the Union.

Devils Tower: WY.
 The Devils Tower was the first declared State National Monument  established on the 24th September 1906 by By President Theodore  Roosevelt . The Monuments boundary encompasses and area of 1547 acres.and is located in The bear lodge mountains Part of the Black Hills.The teardrop shaped top of the tower is approximately 1.5 acres in area. The base diameter is around 1000 feet. There is a shallow soil base that supports grasses ,shrubs and cactus.
