 This card arrived recently from Hong Kong and to me a very unusual card.  This is a Postcard United card and isa very political card and calls for the freedoms in Hong Kong !!! This is the first of this type of this card that I have ever received !

   Thank you Maggie for this great card of The Year of The OX  2021..I love it !  I love these Chinese New Year and Zodiac cards  .This fine card explains the position of the Year of The Oxand its meaning  on the Chinese  Zoiac.  The Year of  "NIU  " (  Xin Chou ) 2012 .

 "Niu" ranks second in The Chinese Zodiac. The meaning of "Niu" means  (includes )cow, bull, ox, cattle. The pronunciation of "Niu" is the same as "new". Nit has been a loyal partner for Chinese people since ancient times. China has the custom of "whip " the Niu in the begiining of spring to pray for a good harvest . Niu is often used in daily use tppraise others  means "awesome".loyal, pioneering, delighted , wholeheartedly, responsible.

 Once again I am excited to receive a postcard !!  I am so used to receiving cards nearly everyday and now there are virtually none arriving..  Once again this was a huge surprise to find this card in my letterbox..  a lovely card it is also.. Thank you so much Jenny for thinking of me and I see looking at postal date it has taken a few months to get here ..  I am sure that ther are so many cards out there floating about somewhere..  This is a great bird card  showing this Glaucous Mawcaw.  native to Argentina Brazil and Uruguay..  so nice...and will happily add it to my bird card collection .  What a most lovely card that I have just received from a good friend in Hong Kong.. The card is the latest release of "The Year of The Rooster" 2017 by Hong Kong Postal Service and is one of a series of New Year Postal cards of The Zodiac Animals... it has perforated edges so it can be opened to reveal the message inside.. I was reluctant to do this as it is such a lovely card but also wanted to read my friends message.
