  WOW..  What a great surprise this great card from Mexico and the World Heritage Site ..and also wonder of the World.  Chichen Itza in Mexico.  This amazing pyramid of Aztec culture  is  being a Wonder of The World is a huge attraction for tourists and sight seeres from all over the world.  They say that at  the spring and fall equinoxes  (March 21st ) the north face is the scene of Kulkans deccent to earth. Thank you so much Mel for this great card I am sure that your visit there was a great experience it is on my "bucket list " too.. Thanks again hugs..

The Speicherstadt : Literally means  "City of Warehouses  ( warehouse district ) in Hamburg Germany. That is the largest warehouse district in the world where the buildings stand on timber pile  foundations. (oak logs in this particular case ) This is located in the Port of Hamburg within the Hafen City quarter and was built from 1883 to 1927. The Speicherstadt was awarded the status of UNESCO World Heriatage site on the 5th July 2015 along with the Konterhaus District.

 FRANCE: 
  Lighthouses are anotherfavourite of mine mainly because they are never the same, This is a special lighthouse card as it is a UNESCO world Heritage site.  Thank you   Merci Beaucoup  Morima for this great card choice.  This is a Postcrossing card and This  active lighthouse is the Cordouan and is located in South Eastern  France .

 Cordouan Lighthose : Is an operating lighthouse that is located 7 kilometers  ( 4.3 miles ) out at sea near  the mouth of The Gironde Estuary , at a height of 67.5 metrs high ( 22 feet ) it is the tenth highest "traditional "lighthouse in the world. The Courduan light house was a listed as a National Monument in France in 1862 and recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 2021.

   Thank you dear Inge for this card from your recent  trip on the Rhine Ruver.  This is a trip that I promised myself but never did.The  lovely card shows the statue of "The Loreley"  a famous woman in German folklore  and is  located in the "Middle Rhine". This location  is a 132 meter high steep  slate rock  on the right bank of the Rhine River  "Rhine Gorge "  or (Middle Rhine ) or Sanky Goarshausen Germany and is part of the  Upper Middle Rhine Valley. The 1930's  Loreley Amphitheatre is on the top of the rock. "Loreley" herself is a siren of German mythology, of great beauty and delicious song ,who was placed on the rock on the Rhine .. and along with her song was known to seduce the navigators.,  her statue stands on the  banks of the river in The Rhineland . This is a Unesco World Heritage Site.

 A surprise card has just arived and it is from Ephesus  and a Unesco World Heritage site and a place that has great memories for me.. I visited this onderful site while in Turkey and found it quite amaxing I surely would love to return to Turkey as it is an a amzing country with just so much to see there .What a wonderful example of Roman Architecture and also so much to see in this particular site..Thank you so much Nina for this great cad .

 Thank you Frank for this surprise card from Quedlinburg.  This is recognised as a World Heritage city  in 1994.  Quedlinburg is a city  situated just north of  The Haatz Mountains , in the district of Harz in the west of Saxony-Anhalt. Famous for its Quedlinburg Abbey..St, Servatius Collegiate Church. also is famous for its 1200 half timbered houses that were  founded in 884 . one of which is the oldest house in Germany built in 1346 : Wordgasse  3.

 A wonderful "surprise card" has just arrived  .What a pleasure it is to receive a card...as  these days  they are definately light on the ground"  now ! This is a card from the Orkney Islands  ( UK ) and is a Unesco site ! "Skara Brae" is a Neolithic settlement from around the period of 3180 - 25oo BC.. This was designated as  Unesco World Heritage Site in 1999 and is thought to be older than the site at "Stone Henge " /  Thank you so much Doyel for this thoughtful card and also the great stamp.

The card shows The Scloss Convey located in The town of Hoxter in North Rhein Westphalen. Originally  founded in 1815 as a monestary and then became a  castle in 1792  and now a Unesco site since 2014 . Thank you Frank for this card and stamps.

 Thank you Svetlana for this lovely card from Lake Baikal.  A loely quiet place that uis the biggest fresh water lake in the world.. Lake Baikal is located in Southern Siberia between Irkutsk Oblast to the north east and The Bunyat Republic to the south east . When I visited Lake Baikal it was on my train journey across Russia and was  in the wintertime and the Lake  was frozen at the time and looked quite different than the card !! must be lovely to visit in smmer though.This is a Postcrossing card  Thank you Svetlana.

"The Bergpark Wilhelmdhohe."
                                                 is a landscape park in Kassel Germany The area of the park is 2.4 square kioleters ( 500 acres ). making it the largest European hillside park and the second largest hillside slope park in the world. Construction of the Berg[ark  or Mountain Park began in 1689  at the behest of The Landgraves of Hesse Kassel and took about 150 years. The Park today is open to the public  and This is a Unesco World Heritage Site. This is also known for the  "Kassel Wilhelmshohe  Staion"  on the  Hannover-Wurtzburg  high speed railaway line (ICE ).

A postcard United card has just arrived and a nice card from a Postcrosser in Shanghai.  the card shows A warring belt .. inlaid with gold and silver and the only known Hook belt ..This was discoveed in in Wangshan Tomb 1 Jiangling ,Hubei Province in 1965  Thank you Qiang for this card,  Thank you also for your kind Christmas and New Year wishes..  Xie Xie.
