 This is another wonderful card that I received recently in a large envelope with many other crads and was a wonderful Surprise .  This card is a celebration of the Vietnamese new Year "TET "  such a lovely embossed card of this cat. I love these cards as I always love the new Year celebrations from Asia .  Vietnam does not celebrate the "Year of the Rabbit 2023" as they do not have the Rabbit in theier Zodiac and  consequently  celebrates "The Year of The Cat "Thank you so mmuch my dear Trang for your kind thoughts ,,, may your period of Tet be most enjoyable for you and your family ,Always  such lovely cards and stamps.

 Boy I remember this market ! I purchased a small backpack there as my other bag had broken  so much tosee in this big market Place in the middle of Ho Chi Min City,  I think I had taken the same photographbut with more people !!,  loved the smell of all the herbs and spices there . Thank you so much Dear Trang for this lovely card, Vietnam has the best postcards .

         What a great card !. This  surprise card  arrived today from a friend in Singapore who always thinks of me with train cards . This is a great card sent from Hanoi and shows the "Kam Then Street " train  where the train goes through the neighbourhood and as it does it iis so close to shops and housing that the shop owners must put up their awnings so that the train does not hit them..  this is a place that I wanted to visit but I beleive now that this has been suspended.  Thank you so much Adriana  you are so kind in thinking of me with this card from your recent visit to Hanoi !

This card shows two  Glay Girls from Lao Cai Province .with one holding a small chicken that I guess is  to be getting ready for their dinner . Thank you once again Trang !The card says that these girls are characteristic of the ethnic minority groups.

  I really love to receive these cards of various indigenous groups and ethnic peoples .  I have been fortunate to receive some of these cards recently with the kindness of a great friend in Vietnam. This cards shows photos of what is characteristic of these ethnic  minority  groups These women are  Ha Nhi girls in the area of Ha Giang  Lao Cai  Province in Vietnam, such lovely colourful clothes and adornments.

 Hoi An : VIETNAM:

 This shaped card shows the Japanese Bridge in the City of Hoi An  Vietnam. This is a most lovely bridge " ChuaCau" a footbridge with a Temple on the top.  I loved this when I visited Hoi An and found it to be such a colourful city as I always thought that it was the city of "lanterns" as the lovely colourful lanterns are all to be seen and I found a wonderful town to have clothes and shoes made for  customers within two days.. I would love to return to Hoi An as I thought it to bea great destination.. lovely stamps also Thank you again Trang ..Cam on !    so good.!

       The Japanese Bridge  Hoi An  VIETNAM !

 This marvellous bridge is located in Hoi An in Quang Nam Province in Vietnam ! and is also referred to as Cau Nhat Ban or ( Japanese Bridge ) The foot bridge is 18 meters long and 3 meters wide  with a small Temple that sits on the North end of the Bridge , with the entrance in the middle of the bridge overlooking the water , The two bridge heads are built with bricks with two spans each while the middle of the bridge has five spans placed on brick pillars going into the water . The building frame is made of wood and utilises three seperate but intergrated roof systems for the three portions of the Bridge . The Temple is a Taoist Temple. In February of 1990 The Chua Cau bridge was granted the status of  a National Historical Cultural Relic, In 2006 a 20,00 VND (Vitetnamese Dong ) was issued featuring the bridge .  The Structure is sinking due to underground erosion  and cauurent plans in place to prevent its collapse !

Nha Trang .: VIETNAM :

 This is a nice showing a beach scene and fishermen getting ready to go out for a day fiching in Nha Trang, Thesmall "Conical boats" are typical of Vietnam and photographed some when I was in Vung Tau that had just returned from fishing and bought myself a lovely fresh fish for dinner..This card has the most lovely stamps . The card is called "The call of the sea."
 Once again Thank you my dear Trang for thinking of me with this interesting  card and postmarks.

I am so lucky to have such wonderful friends  and Thank you so much Trang for this yet another lovely card  attatched with a beautiful stamp sheet postage.. amazing ! I love it  ! and your thoughtfulnees to get these special stampsheets and cancellation stamps for  me as I know the trouble that you must go to do that .. sometimes Post Offices can be a long wait !! 
The card shows fishermen at dawn preparing for  days fishing  at Phon Thiet !  and I am sure there are women envolved here also. I was so taken by the women in Vietnam as they work so hard .. and appear to doeverything !! Once again!  What a lovely stampsheet with cancellation.

Thes cards  are really nice and will put them all on over time.  I beleive that Posstcards from Vietnam are the nicest of any that I receive . I trust that all was well with that recent typhoon and it did not cause you any trouble and evryone was safe !  hugs ! nice stamps !!
