BANANAS : Are a noteworth fruit on the island of Madera and is due to its quantity and quality of production.
HISTORY : SUGAR CANE is one of the agricultural species that greatest reference in the history of Madeirawhich originated "The White  Gold Age " and its quality offered the Funchal metropolis frank  economic prosperity. This meant that in the second half of the fifteenth Cenury the City of Funchal became a mandatory stop on the European trade routes.
