  What a great card .. Every now and again you just get that great card that you love!!..I love all cards that I receive but some are just ".special" This is a Postcrossing card  from a swapper in California..  Thank you so much  Holly , for this wonderful card that has recently arrived  and it shows  some "Nose Art " that was popular art that was painted on the nose of "Bombers" in the Second World War..  I had a book of such art and was always  unique to the aircraft..art  that named the actual plane and for the crews sweetie .!! Thank you for this really great card and will add to my favourites..  stay safe there and take care ..hugs

   This is a first day release series of cards of the expedition of The Ship the" HMAS WYATT EARP" to Astralian Antarctic Territory .  THis is a first dat relaese series of maxi cards released March 31 in Kingston Tasmania 7050. This is a lovely set with lovely stamps and postmarks.

This is a really great card  commemorating the Centennary of the first Aerial Postal flight from England to Australia. that took place from 12 to the 10 Decemeber 1919..what a great card.. This was a first day of release and was released by Australia Post10 October 2019 in Fannie Bay NT .

Today I received this card from a friend in Hong Kong and is an unusual card in that when you put it under a light for awhile ..then put it in a dark area the card will "light up" ...great eh...just a different card and thank you Amelie for sending me this card..Xie Xie.

 What a great card that has arrived from New Guinea...and yes thank you for your warm greetings Rianna.. A great card showing and old Australian Air Force.  RAAF  DC3 Dakota  A65-122 aircraft sitting at her final resting place in the  Lae Botanical Gardens New Guinea. I am sure that this old aircraft would have some amazing tales to tell about its own exploits.  Thank you so much for thinking of me  Rianna sending this fine card..

The second of these two great Concorde cards that i have just received . Showing this marvellous aircraft taking off..what a sight.. This card shows the Concorde SST 214.. 1978- 2003: Velocity Mach2.04 this was also in Exeter in July 1990.

I received these two lovely cards of The Concorde (this is one ) the most amazing passenger aircraft built...This was a joint venture between Britain and France and have always admired this aircraft and would have loved to have taken a flight while it was in Service.
This is a card showing the SST Concorde  204. from 1978 -2003. This had a Mach. velocity of 2.4.
 The location is in Exeter UK July 1987.The card is a Commemoration card of Italian National Aeronautical Acrobatic teams. A first day Release ..stamped by Philatelic Exposition  30. January 2015..

A recent first day release by Australia Post. stamped Flemington VIC (01 July 2014 ) Maxi Card.  Commemorating (100 years ) Centenary of Airmail Delivery in the States of Victoria and New South Wales..Card shows The first flight landing to refuel in Wangaratta,Victoria on its maiden journey  the First of July 1914. The pilot here standing on the wing of his Mono- Plane is Frenchman Maurice Guillaux.
 This truly was a monumental event , as the plane had to stop eight times during the journey for refueling and maintenance. The significance of this event was soon to be realised as this was right at the beginning of the herendhous First World War.  So as Great Britain declared war on Germany, it involved all its Commonwealth countries as well.This enabled the mail, as the war progressed, to be delivered a lot faster bring news of their loved ones abroad in New Guinea , France and the Middle East to families involved in the enormous conflict. This war that affected most Australian families and was to cost the most to Australia (pro rata to population ) more than any other nation involved..Some towns, after the war was over and armistice declared in Australia's interior were completely devoid of men ...and women took over all forms of various employment to maintain the towns survival..This is a wonderful commemorative card.
