 A surprise card has arrived this is from an American Postcrosser and sent this card from her recebttrio to Canada for a celebration.   The card shows The Stone Fort Niagra Lighthouse  that was constructed in 1871 and and is visible for 25 miles on Lake Ontarion.

A lovely surprise today from someone that I haven't heard from in a while..Thank you dear Maria and thank you for thinking of me on your latest trip.. Such a lovely part of the world..A part of the world where I could surely live.. Card shows the St Lawrence River and Island system that separates Canada fro the USA at this point.. love this card thank you Maria.

The 1,000 Islands of The St.Lawrence River :
The St. Lawrence River originates at the outflow of Lake Ontario between Kingston Ontario and the North bank..Wolf Island in midstream and Cape Vincent ,New York. From there it passes Gananoque, Brockville , Morrisburg ,  Ogdensburg , Massena , Cornwall , Montreal , Trois Rivieres and Quebec City before draining into the Gulf of St.Lawrence.one of the largest estuaries in the world.The estuary prtion begins at the eastern tip of Isle d'Orleans just down stream fro Quebec City.

What a great card !!! this card has so many great attributes with the Inuit Art of The birds and the Wolves,  and apparently, the wolves are seldom seen in Inuit Art.
 The absolutely lovely gold "Raised" stamps of The Chinese Lunar New Year are sensational.. Like last years set of the "Year of the Snake"2013 bringing in the New Year ,"Year of the Horse" 2015.       This year 2015 it is "The Year of The Goat.", chasing off the "Year of the Horse ". I really like the way that these cards are saying goodbye to one year and are welcoming in another. This is The New Year of 2015..The "Year of The Goat" , on The Chinese Zodiac calendar. This Chinese Lunar New Year Card and stamps are Released by Canada Post. These are such lovely stamps and I thank you Rob for going out of your way to get these for me as you know I really love These Chinese Lunar New Year cards and stamps. Also really like the Post Office cancellation stamp.!! "Elbow River"
