This is a new realease by Australia Post entitled "Australian Dinosaurs" .  Tis is a first day release maxi cards ..They were released in Winton Queensland  4735 on the 05th September 2022.  Winton Queensland is known for its findings of Dinosaur remains and fossills.I love the Postmark !

  they are so well camouflged sometimes very hard to see them.!!

 Sydney : AUSTRALIA.:
 THis is a recent relaese card from Australia Post in its "Wildlife "series.. A great card showing this huge Saltwater ( "salty") Crocodile located all over the Northern parts of Australia in The States of Queensalnd , The Northern Territory  and Western Australia.virtually hunted to extinction 60 or more Years ago mainly for their prescious skins.they are now a protected species and are back in huge numbers..  very Dangerous..  man killers !! Much vigilance is needed by foreign visitors when in their vicinity and  their danger  should not be treated lightly
   I visited the north many times and had the privelege to observe these monsters  in the natural environment !!! One of the oldest  reptiles.on the planet they grow to a huge size.

 Freshwater QUEENSLAND : : AUSTRALIA.

 A maxicard release by Austrlia Post  in Freshwater Queensland . This is one of four in this series of dragon flies. This is known as the Arrowhead Rockmater Dragonfly. (diphlebia nymphoides ).  a nice colourful card .

 What a great map card  Thank you so much Cathy for this card from the Barrier Reefs Whitsunday group of Islands.. A lovely place  that I have visited on a few occasions and always a place to return to. This is a great map card showing the many Islands in this marvellous group.

 The Whitsunday Islands of FNQ ( Far North Queensland ) are known as a tropical wonderworld  with many golden sandy beaches fringed by coconut palms and incedibly clear waters ...a magnet for sun lovers and diving and snorkelling and many water sports .  There are just so many Islands in this group that can be visited and enjoyed.

Love this card showing ths beautiful little bird ."The Star Finch" isnt it lovely .!! This is one in a new series on  "Finches of Australia"....I didn't realise we had so many lovely finches .I will add some more at a later date as this is one of my favourites..This is a " First Day of Issue " Maxicard released by Australia Post on 16 March 2018 with the cancellation Postmark in Finch Hatton Queensland.

Great Barrier Reef : QUEENSLAND :

I usually pick a few cards that I really love from the past year ..This particular card was a local release first day Maxi card distributed by Australia Post.. and I really like it !!.I guess it is the freedom the card shows of this marvellous Green Sea Turtle on the Barrier Reef...also I just love the colours..so calming and cool on these really hot days now in the beginning of 2019.I also like the cancellation postmarks on these first day releases. I hope you like my choices that I post also..

A lovely colourful set of cards this one showing The Green Sea Turtle enjoying the surroundings.This set was released  on August 10 2018 in Cairns Queensland.  A great card showing the great Aussie icon " The Ettamogah Pub." This is from the location in Queensland's Gold Coast.. I have visited and had a few beers in the pub in Victoria and also the one located in Sydney's west.. A great card..love the phone box out front..

 A surprise card from Nambour in Queensland showing this sugar cane train on its way to the sugar mills.. These little trains can be really long with many of these little carriages full of cut sugar cane. winding their way through many local towns ..Thank you so much for this Card..

Queensland. North Stradbroke Island.:

 A lovely newly released card by Oz Post of North Stradbroke Island in Queensland.

 North Stradbroke Island. The native name for this Island is "Minjerribah" is an Island that lies within Moreton Bay in The State of Queensland 30 Kilometers  ( 19 miles ) south east of the Capital City of  Brisbane. Before 1896 This was part of The Stradbroke Island but in that year a fierce storm separated it from South Stradbroke Island forming The jumpinpin Channel . The Quandamooka People are the traditional owners of North Stradbroke Island.At 275.2 KM2 ( 106.3 miles.) it is the second largest sand Island in the world..Fraser Island being the first. Tourism and sand mining are currently the main industries.
