 FINLAND :
  Always nice to receive another train card !  This is a surprise card from a friend in Finland and writes just so much information about that card  and tells me that the first train in Funland ran in 1862 from Helsinki to Hameenlinna..  and also tells ne that her uncle was an engine driver  and drove all diiferent engines from steam to diesel. Thank you so much for this lovely black / white card and will gladly  add to my train card collection thank  you "kitos " for this card and and all the information..

   This great surprise card just arrived and so nice to hear from My friend again.  Thank you so much Marie for this card from your recent visit to the oldest city in Norway.Tonsberg that was founded in 871.  wow that is old..The card shows some of the attractions of Tonsberg.  I trust that you recent travels through te centre of Norway was plaeasant and enjoyable..  I am so pleased to hear from you again.  Could not help but noticing the cancellation instead of a stamp   a number written !! Mange Tak !  take care there.

Another great train card  This card has just arrived and is a Postcard United card from a fellow swapper. Thank you for this nice card that shows a "Sleeper Train " . Apparently these type of sleeper Trains were extremely popular but about 15 years ago due to the High speed busses and trains now available most  of these trains have been discontinued. Thank you Norilito for this great card

 What a brightly coloured card has just arrived .. a surprise card from Donan.  Thank you for this nice card and  I really would love to revisit and spend some more time in this lovely state..  There is so many places that I would love to see there. Thank you for this card .The card shows a typically styled large pueblo type  housing. !  amazing.

A Catholic Nun whowas to win the Nobel Prize for her humanitarian work with the poor in 1979 .she loved Kolkata..  Thank you Poonam for this surprise card !

 A surprise card has just arived and it is from Ephesus  and a Unesco World Heritage site and a place that has great memories for me.. I visited this onderful site while in Turkey and found it quite amaxing I surely would love to return to Turkey as it is an a amzing country with just so much to see there .What a wonderful example of Roman Architecture and also so much to see in this particular site..Thank you so much Nina for this great cad .

 Belgrave . Victoria  AUSTRALIA.

  A lovely card showing the many Various  "Puffin Billy " steam train that are possible to ride at this site in Victoria that travel through the very scenic Dandenong Ranges   enabling the visitors to have great views from the open  carriages to enjoy this journet..  The kids especially love it as they can freely get to look out of the open carriages ..  There are a couple of great spots for the " photography buffs " as the train travels over some great Wooden Tressle Bridges  and through some wonderful forrested area .. I must say that I enjoyed my day  out there and  also a different tainride back again on a different steam engine !. I have always loved trains especially the Steam Enginges !! I have added a few pics of my day out there .. Thank you so much Adriana for thinking of me with this surprise card from your visit there ..

Singapore.

 SINGAPORE :

 A lighthouse card arrived today as well and I like these cards as no two lighthouses are the same. This is from Singapore and is The Fort Canning Lighthouse . The lighthouse is located on the top of Fort Canning Hill and was one of 13 lighthouses gurading the Straits of Malacca. Located nearby with the :Flagstaff " and the time bell  these three naviagational structures played an essentilal role in the Navigational history of Singapore.

 Just arrived and hot out of the mailbox!  Thanks Katy for this card from Georgia.   Always so nice to receive a card from you there . Ths card shows this lovely image of what looks like a music rotunder of glass and lovely lacework steel construction .. This is in "Borjomi Park " from a  resort town in Central Georgia known for its mineral springs.. Thank you Khaty.
