JEFFERSON CITY MISSOURI.:
The Capital building of Jefferson City Missouri overlooks the Missouri River was built between 1912-1917.The bronze front door of the building 13 x 18 feet wide and  is reputed to be the largest since the Roman era and the stairway is 30 feet wide , the widest in the world.  Free tours are conducted of the building seven days a week,This is definately a unique and beautiful capital building to see for visitors to Jefferson City.

St. Louis ..What a great city...not only for blues music but is famous for its Busch Baseball Stadium Home to the St. Louis Cardinals...and what a great team they are...but sorry boys not this year ..but what a Ballpark !

I REALLY LIKED THIS CARD OF ST.LOUIS.

 I always try to find really different cards when sending home my travel cards.. This one I really liked when in St Louis..I really liked St.Louis and immediately felt comfortable there ..and like so many destinations I would have liked to stay longer. , but also a great reason to return. The music scene here is great and wanted to see and visit "Blueberry Hill" music place ...the home of Chuck berry but he was out of town. I write this card while waiting for the "Texas Eagle" Train Service to Dallas Texas. Posted 28 July 2014... I love St. Louis..

 What a lovely bright colorful card showing fireworks over the city of St Louis. The card shows the many fireworks exploding brightly over the grounds of The Jefferson National Expansion Memorial  during the annual St Louis Fair celebrations that are held each year on the 4th of July.,here you see The Keiner Plaza fountain with the runner statue seen pictured in front of the Old Historic Courthouse and the magnificent 630 foot Gateway Arch in the background.

St.Louis : MO

The unmistakeable Gateway Arch that so symbolises this great City..The Gateway Arch that sits on the banks of The Mississippi River stands 630 feet high and is accessible for visitors to go inside and ride to the top where I believe the view is magnificent.I arrive in St Louis on The Lincoln Service train from Chicago. The way from the train/bus interchange was not far to where I was staying and after storing my gear got the bus back to Town and went to one of the best Hard rock Cafes around. I must say I always try to get to the local HRC and this one was special as it was built inside the "old " Union Station...one of the grandest Railways stations that was in the USA. Once again like Chicago the music scene here was wonderful.

I JUST SAW THIS IN THE MAIN SQUARE IN KRAKOW...POLAND. !!!

 This is a souvenir card I sent home from my recent visit here ..This is such a lovely part of the old run down Station that used to be The largest and most beautiful Railway Station in the USA that was opened on September1st 1894..The gem of the Station was The Grand Hall with its gold leaf and Romanesque Arches, with 65 foot Barrel vaulted ceiling and stained glass windows..This is truly still a magnificent part of this Station still so beautiful...no longer the Railway Station..sadly..
