The USS. Wisconsin is in Norfolk VA. , The USS New Jersey is in Camden N.J. The USS. Iowa is in Los Angeles CA. and The USS Missouri is here in the Naval yard in Pearl Harbour HI. The major significance with the USS Missouris's notoriety as it was aboard this vessel that the Surrender of all Japanese Forces took Place .with the signing by all the Allied countries and the Japanese  on 02 September 1945. A large brass plaque on the deck of the USS.MISSOURI now marks the spot where this took place This is a huge battleship and used right up until as late as "Desert Storm" and recent middle eastern conflicts..This ship has many proud battle Stars and I had previously visited this ship when it was in Sydney Harbour . Road distance sign  northern New South Wales.
This is a souvenir card from my Road trip to Far Northern Queensland..F.N.Q....and this was from my stop in Sapphire a small town with lots to offer. We decided to stop here as it is one of the gemstone towns located in this part of Queensland..the others being Rubyvale and Emerald..After obtaining our mining licence we set about looking for sapphires and other precious stones..and after a quite of few hours we had found between us 16 sapphires and one other., a zircon...These were taken to be assayed and it was found that their were found amongst "our finds" , four sapphires of very good condition that could be cut and polished and one Zircon...these then after the process, were mounted into a nice ring and it was given to my eldest daughter for her 21 st birthday....and what a nice gift.. as she can keep that forever and give it to her children..We had a great time here in the Gem fields of central north Queensland and our stop here was a highlight on this long 9.000 kilometer road trip through western and eastern New South Wales and far north Queensland.

Thailand.

Bangkok.: THAILAND.:                         " Locals love them"

Street vendors are such an abundance and so many different sellers have such a variety of different "Street Food". I particularly liked the street food although many people worry about it..I found it be clean and enjoyable..The fresh fruit is the best I found..

This is a card  (above ) I chose for a souvenir on a trip here as I really loved the "Tuk Tuk" in the picture..So versatile and used for so many different applications.. here we see the large and heavy loads that they are capable of performing. Also my picture of a load of girls... I love these and always use these when in Thailand and used them all over the country..although they do vary a bit they are a very inexpensive form of transport for the locals and visitors alike. This was from my first "Around the World by Train" journey visit to Thailand.

United States Of America..

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.:
            CONFEDERATE GENERALS OF THE CIVIL WAR ( 1861 - 1865 )
General Robert E Lee's army was always , outnumbered, outgunned and more often than not in a poor position to attack or defend. Yet, General lee was a very practical strategist with an engineers sense and was always willing to take risks tyo out manoeuvre his apponents. The support of his excellent Commanders contributed to repeated victories against the Union army again and again.
But, eventually the Unions industrial base , replenishment abilities  and Grants persistent and often brutal tactics prevailed. Three million fought six hundred thousand died and it was the only war fought on American soil by Americans and for that reason there has always been a big facination with the Civil war.  Thank you Amy for this great card as I love military history..Thank you.
